Machine tools from HEDELIUS - precision and innovation made in Germany
HEDELIUS Maschinenfabrik GmbH, based in Meppen, Lower Saxony, is a leading manufacturer of vertical CNC moving column machining centers. Since its foundation in 1967, the family-owned company has specialized in the development and production of three-, four- and five-axis machining centers as well as automation solutions for single-part and small-batch production.
History and development
HEDELIUS was founded in 1967 by Werner Hempelmann and Reinhold Dettmer in Bünde, North Rhine-Westphalia. The original focus was on woodworking machines. With the move to Meppen, the company refocused on special machine construction for metalworking. The first moving column machining centers were built in 1989. In the 1990s, production was completely geared towards these machines.
Locations and company structure
The headquarters in Meppen covers a production area of 28,000 m². The company employs around 247 people, including engineers, software developers, mechatronics technicians and mechanics. HEDELIUS is a family-run company in its third generation and is fully family-owned.

HEDELIUS offers a wide range of machining centers:

Innovation and technology
HEDELIUS attaches great importance to research and development. One example of this is the Tiltenta 7-2000 NEO swivel spindle machining center, which offers a fully automated production solution in combination with the MARATHON SR415 15-pallet storage system. With over 3,000 machining centers delivered, HEDELIUS is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe.
Quality and sustainability
HEDELIUS stands for quality "Made in Germany". All key assemblies and machine elements are machined in the company's own machining plant in Meppen. The company has a high level of vertical integration and relies on modern 5-axis machining centers on which workpieces weighing up to 30 tons and measuring up to twelve meters in length can be machined.
HEDELIUS has been awarded the CrefoZert credit rating certificate by Creditreform Leer since December 2016. An equity ratio of 70 percent testifies to first-class financial stability.
