Company history: Over 100 years of success in the machinery trade
Stenzel has been supplying manufacturers in the industry with high-quality machine tools for more than a century. Founded in 1913, the family business has introduced brands such as Nakamura, Matsuura and Brother to Germany and is now managed by the fourth generation of the Stenzel family, Joseph Stenzel.

With its portal for used machines and its all-round service when purchasing machines, Stenzel is a competent and reliable partner for metalworking companies at home and abroad.

Joseph Stenzel received his diploma in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration with focus on mechanical engineering (TU Darmstadt)and joined the family business.

Absolute crisis year
Turnover and margin decline of 80 % - Employees approx. 200 - 90 in machine tools - asset stripping of the company group by banks - out of that, 22 new companys emerged from which 5 are still operating successfully today. Stenzel Verwaltungs GmbH was founded - German representation for Nakamura CNC lathes.

1991

The Stenzel Normalien GmbH was founded
production of catalogue parts for molds - today trading under ABA Normalien in Ilmenau with 50 employees.

Stenzel Automation was founded
a group for planning and assembly of robotsystems.

Orders from the German automotive industry
mainly Opel Bochum. Resumption of the czech representation of TOS, Škoda, Mas and Warnsdorf. It was the highlight for Stenzel due to the "economic miracle" in Germany lasting until 1968.
